Elk Ridge Bed & Breakfast is an eclectic western home set in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where you are surrounded by breath taking scenery. Our location back in the Black Hills is tranquil and quiet and a wonderful way to get away.  Elk Ridge is conveniently located about four miles from Mt. Rushmore, halfway between Keystone and Hill City. Rapid City, the Black Hills major town is 26 scenic miles away.

During peak season listen for the 1880 steam train as it travels between the two towns. Both nearby towns feature great casual and fine dining, souvenir and antique shopping, as well as local theater.

When you visit Rapid City, South Dakota, you will see bronze statues of former presidents on the corners of Main St. They are so life like they make you take a second glance!


Visit the great Christmas stores that are open year round or venture into one of the great opportunities to find Black Hills Gold.

For the Harley enthusiasts,  Elk Ridge Bed & Breakfast to Sturgis, SD is a cool one hour ride on pine tree lined roads.  Hot Rod lovers ...bring your ride and cruise the back roads of the Hills.

Anglers…there are many road side streams to fish from. There are four lakes within 20 miles of Elk Ridge Bed & Breakfast and many more within 30 minutes. Winter ice fishing is very popular with the locals…come on up and try it. Rainbow and brown trout….Brookies, Bass Northern Crappies and Perch are all out there waiting to test your skills.
